Happy Burns' Night, everyone!
For those of you who don't know what that is, January 25th is the birthday of Scottish poet Robert Burns, and Burns' Night is a celebration, typically observed in Scotland, of his life and work. So for all you fans of poetry out there, read a few Robert Burns poems and have a dish of haggis today! (That last part is optional, as I understand haggis can be difficult to find and is ill-received in many parts of the world.)
In other news, I have a new story up on Avenir Eclectia. Celeste is in for quite a surprise. Click Here to read 'Surprise'.
I love Robert Burns' poems :) Ae Fond Kiss, Bonnie Doon, Auld Lang Syne, My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose, and others are ones I've either memorized or partially memorized, and I love singing them.

'Ae Fond Kiss' never fails to make me cry, but I still love it. : )
DeleteYay! My system is finally letting me comment again!
Have you heard Andy Stewart sing it? Or Karen Matheson?
ReplyDeleteI don't believe so. I'll have to look those versions up when I have a chance. : )
